🧡 Project Restore: Restoring Dignity, One Life at a Time
Project Restore is a community initiative founded by Carla Monique Gibson to serve unhoused men and women in Arizona with compassion, care, and dignity.
Inspired by her childhood in Detroit and her mother’s work with Project Healthy Living, Carla participated in annual December events where the unhoused could receive:
Free or discounted salon, barber, and nail services
Health screenings and low-cost medical care
Clothing from a community closet
Sack lunches, hot meals, and holiday cheer
Entertainment from youth groups
A children's corner with books, toys, and joy
Now living in Arizona, Carla is rebuilding that same spirit through Project Restore — a growing movement rooted in service and love.
In November 2024 through April 2025, she and members of the Arizona community passed out sack lunches and hygiene kits monthly. Now, she’s preparing for the first full-scale December event in 2025.
🎯 Goal for December 2025:
Serve 110 men and 110 women with clothing, hygiene kits, sack lunches, and a hot catered meal.
💰 Estimated Wholesale Cost: $15,000
This effort is just the beginning of a larger mission that will eventually live inside a 4-story multi-use building — housing Unique Monique's Boutique LLC, Tenant Girls LLC, Carla’s Cultivations LLC, and a future nonprofit that expands these services year-round.
